Description
The rays of the rising sun stretch over the hoodoos at Bryce Canyon National Park, early one fall morning.
In late September I was visiting Zion and Bryce Canyon National Parks. I had been in Utah for about 5 days already, when I went to the rim of the amphitheater at Bryce to catch the sunrise. Because of the much higher elevation at Bryce the morning air was much colder than I had experienced in Zion National Park. I was not properly dressed, and quite uncomfortable in the near freezing temperatures...but I patiently awaited the sunrise.
I'm glad that I was able to tough out the chill, because it was incredible seeing the sun peek up over the horizon and light up the hoodoos.
